Privacy should be understandable before you trust the app

FamilyBoard is designed so the free core household organizer can work without a user account or central household database.

Private app data

Household members, asset names, maintenance records, warranty information, subscriptions, emergency notes and other private app records are stored locally in the browser database in v1.

Public website analytics

The public content site may later use analytics to understand page visits and feature usage. Analytics must never include private household values such as names, addresses, asset notes, document contents, emergency details, subscription names or financial information.

Browser storage limitations

Local browser storage is not a guaranteed archival backup. Browser data can be cleared, devices can fail and users can remove site data. FamilyBoard therefore provides export/restore tools and should display the last-backup status prominently.

Attachments

Where local attachment support is available, users should understand device/browser storage limits. Important original documents should also exist in an appropriate durable location under the user’s control.

No cloud sync today

FamilyBoard does not currently send household records to a sync service. Any future change to that boundary would require a policy and security review before release.

Contact

Provide the project support contact only after a real FamilyBoard mailbox or forwarding route is configured and tested. Do not publish the developer’s personal email.
