A household subscription list should answer who owns it, what it costs and what happens next

Streaming services are only one category. Internet/security services, memberships, software, cloud storage, deliveries and annual household plans can all create recurring obligations.

Find subscriptions from several sources

Review bank/card statements, app-store subscriptions, email renewal notices and household memory. Do not connect financial accounts to FamilyBoard in v1; manually create the list.

Normalize the annual cost

Monthly and annual pricing are difficult to compare. A calculator can show the annualized total while preserving the original billing frequency.

Record the cancellation path

A management URL or simple note such as “cancel through App Store account” makes the record actionable without storing credentials.

Review ownership

If a subscription depends on one person’s account, record that owner so the household knows who can manage it.

Contextual CTA: Find the top ten recurring services first. The goal is visibility, not perfect forensic accounting.
